Forestry faces mounting challenges due to the impacts of climate change. The increasing frequency of extreme weather events, such as dorughts and storms, threatens forest health and productivity. Concurrently, the labor-intensive task of tree planting is compounded by a shortage of workers, exacerbating the strain on forestry operations. These intertwined issues demand urgent attention and innovative solutions to safeguard our forests for future generations. This concept is designed to show how robotics can tackle today‘s and tomorrow‘s problems and to relieve the heavy burden on foresters. This concept was design during my bachelorthesis in cooperation with fraunhofer IPA.
